The Houston Texans were one of the biggest winners of the offseason.

They brought in DeMeco Ryans to develop a winning culture and revamp the defense, and they got two of the most sought-after prospects in the game in C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr.

The Texans also made some lowkey big moves, such as adding WR Robert Woods, DB Jimmie Ward, DTs Hassan Ridgeway and Sheldon Rankins, DE Chase Winovich, and G Shaq Mason, among others.

Needless to say, that gives them a much better outlook ahead of next season, which is why chairman and CEO Cal McNair claimed the roster improvement has been evident between seasons.

The Texans were one of the bottom-feeding teams in 2022, both in terms of play and talent.

They needed help at virtually every position this time, and even though it might still take a while before they’re ready to compete at the highest level, they’ve taken the right steps in the right direction over the past couple of months.

Stroud has the potential to be a generational player at the quarterback position, boasting an impressive arm and accuracy and showcasing some elusiveness and speed when asked to leave the pocket.

As for Anderson, some claimed he’s actually the best, most well-round player in this year’s class, and not just about the defense.

Of course, they still need to develop, stay healthy, and find more pieces, but the fans should be looking forward to next season to see what they got on their hands.
