Now that the NBA regular season is over, the league is giving accolades to the best players of the year.

We have already heard who was named Sixth Man of the Year, as well as Rookie of the Year and, of course, MVP.

Now the Association has revealed the 2022-23 Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team.

The team consists of Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls, Jrue Holiday of the Milwaukee Bucks, Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies, Brook Lopez also of the Bucks, and Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is just the latest honor for Jackson, who was recently named Defensive Player of the Year for the first time.

He was just the second Grizzlies star to ever receive that trophy.

Lopez finished second in the race for DPOY so seeing him on the All-Defensive Team is not a major surprise.

As for Caruso and Holiday, they have consistently been some of the hardest workers for their teams, willing and even eager to lock down opponents no matter any size differential.

And Mobley has been hailed as one of the most promising young defenders since joining the league.

This list is a great snapshot of the defensive prowess the NBA currently has.

And there are many other terrific stars throughout the league who have mastered the art of defense, such as OG Anunoby, Bam Adebayo, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, and others.

The NBA isn’t done yet and will announce more team awards soon, such as All-NBA and Teammate of the Year.
