The series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors has been full of drama and narratives.
From analysts predicting how this series could affect Stephen Curry or LeBron James’ legacies, to Steve Kerr calling the Lakers out for flopping and the referees for rewarding them.
Notably, those comments rubbed a lot of people within the Lakers fanbase and organization the wrong way, LeBron included.
That’s why the four-time MVP didn’t hesitate to clap back at Kerr, stating that he’s never been a part of a flopping team.

There’s a running joke online that says James always lies for no reason, and those who watched that clip made sure to keep that narrative alive.
While he’s not a flopper or a guy who’ll fake contact often, James has indeed flopped before; that’s just a fact.
As for the Lakers, it doesn’t seem like they’ve flopped a lot in this series.
They’ve been the most aggressive and physical team, and they drive to the rim way more often than the Warriors, which also explains the free-throw disparity.
The Warriors have set illegal screens over and over for the better part of Kerr’s tenure in charge of the team, so it’s not like the referees have been one-sided in this series.
Kerr wanted to put some pressure on the officials, and the Warriors won Game 5.
It’s the game within the game; a risky bet that sometimes pays off.
