The Golden State Warriors managed to live another day with a throwback performance at home on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Lakers had all the momentum in their favor before Wednesday night’s loss, but may have lost it, especially because they may have also lost their most important player in this series in Anthony Davis.

That, plus the way they played, made Stephen A. Smith guarantee that the Warriors will take the next game as well and force their way back to the Bay Area for Game 7.

Smith pointed out the fact that Draymond Green has been elite as of late, drawing a league-high eight charges in the postseason.

He also praised Steve Kerr for making the adjustment to start Gary Payton II because of his energy and defense, stating that’s how you want to start and finish games.

Moreover, Smith believes that even though Stephen Curry has posted solid numbers, he hasn’t been spectacular yet, hinting at the possibility that it might happen at some point in the series.

Truth be told, Curry has posted his same usual numbers — sometimes even better — than in the regular season.

However, he’s still yet to have that signature “takeover” moment when he goes human-torch mode as he usually does, and that’s bad news for the Lakers; that means he’s coming.

The Warriors also need Klay Thompson to be better, and he has historically thrived in Game 6s, not to mention the fact that he vowed to have a good game at Crypto.com Arena and that hasn’t happened yet.

Anything can happen at this point, but you never want to count the reigning NBA champions out.
