After a disappointing ending to the 2022-23 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers are ready for a fresh start.
Following the firing of Doc Rivers, the front office started working to find a replacement.
2019 NBA champion Nick Nurse is taking over the Sixers and is set to give the team a new identity.
Besides Nurse, the Sixers are adding another talented coach with a respected resume in the league.
According to Marc Stein, via James Ham, Bobby Jackson is joining Philadelphia’s coaching staff.

Jackson has been a part of several coaching staffs in Sacramento and spent two seasons with the Stockton Kings, compiling a 40-25 record.
The 50-year-old coach played 12 years in the NBA, earning the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2003.
The retired combo guard posted 15.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists coming off the bench for the impressive Kings team of the early 2000s.
Now, he’s taking on a new role with the Sixers, joining a coaching staff with one of the best coaches in the league.
The Sixers have several issues to address and fix this offseason, as they have yet to reach the Eastern Conference Finals with Joel Embiid leading the way.
James Harden’s future is still up in the air. The Sixers want to keep him on the roster, and Nurse has expressed his desire to bring him back.
