The San Francisco Giants had everything working on Tuesday night when they erupted for 11 runs at Busch Stadium.

They ultimately defeated the St. Louis Cardinals by a final score of 11-3 and moved into a tie with the Milwaukee Brewers for the third National League Wild Card spot.

Making his Major League debut, 25-year-old right-hander Keaton Winn pitched four innings in relief and allowed just one run on one hit, ultimately earning the save as the Giants beat the struggling Cardinals.

Winn ultimately made some unique history in the process.

According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, the young right-hander is now the first Giants pitcher to record a save in their Major League debut since the stat became official back in 1969.

The only run Winn allowed came on Jordan Walker’s eighth-inning double.

From there, he kept the Cardinals in check.

He also managed to strike out two batters and walk just three as he kept the Cardinals at bay in the second game of their three-game series at Busch Stadium.

It certainly was a debut to remember for Winn.

To make things even better, Winn’s family made the trip to St. Louis from Ollie, Iowa to see him make his debut.

They got to see him make some history as well.

After his four solid innings of work, Winn owns an ERA of 2.25.

He was selected by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
