Playing for the Los Angeles Lakers comes with plenty of perks, especially if you play well.

Lakers guard Austin Reaves is finding that out firsthand, as he’s become a bit of a sensation for his great play this season.

Reaves-mania has gone so far, that he’s even set to have his own signature shoe with Chinese brand Rigorer, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The deal, which is reportedly expected to reach over seven figures a year, has Reaves still in disbelief at how his life and career have turned out.

“Hillbilly Kobe,” as the fans have named him, has become a fan favorite almost right away.

He played hard on both ends of the floor and climbed his way up Darvin Ham’s rotation throughout the season, up to the point where he became an undisputed starter and even had some plays drawn up for him in the playoffs.

LeBron James put the ball in his hands and allowed him to orchestrate the offense and take some big shots down the stretch, and that new-found confidence made him an online sensation in no time.

Reaves will hit restricted free agency in the offseason, and he could be looking at a very lucrative deal.

The Lakers were originally expected to make him an offer close to $54 million for a multi-year deal, but they might be forced to go all the way to $100 million now, as he’s reportedly gauged plenty of league-wide interest.
