Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns has become the man of the hour with his latest comments on Patrick Beverley’s podcast.
The former No. 1 pick claimed that a lot of people would say that he changed the game of basketball once it’s all said and done.
And even though a lot of people agree that he’s put up some very good numbers throughout the course of his career, it’s hard to find someone who agrees with that statement.
That includes former NBA player Tim Hardaway Sr., who had an interesting choice of words for the Kentucky product on The Carton Show.
“You need to win playoff games, Karl-Anthony Towns has 0 series wins. He needs to have a reality check, and in Minnesota, they talk too much! They need to shut up, go out there, and play basketball.”

Hardaway called out Towns for not making his teammates better, not winning a single playoff series in his career, and doing all that talking despite not having anything to back up his claims.
He believes Towns tends to disappear during big stretches of games, and he’s spent more time complaining to the referees than actually winning games.
Moreover, he called out the Timberwolves for doing a lot of talking despite never winning anything, urging them to just shut up and play basketball to let their games do all the talking for them.
Truth be told, Towns’ career averages are Hall of Fame-worthy, and he should be a perennial All-Star.
Then again, most of those have been empty stats, and it’s not like he’s played good defense either.
He’s got the potential to be a superstar, but he’s been in the league for seven years already, so maybe that’s simply not going to happen at this point, as he’s not even the best player on his team anymore.
