Last season, the Minnesota Vikings were looking like Super Bowl contenders after going 13-4 in the regular season, only to collapse in the Wild Card round of the playoffs versus the New York Giants.

They look considerably weaker going into the 2023 campaign, as they have lost No. 2 wide receiver Adam Thielen and four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook.

However, Justin Jefferson, arguably the best wideout in the NFL, is still around, and he will look to keep the Vikings in the postseason.

A recent video showed him making a nice one-handed catch during practice.

Jefferson had a fantastic season last year by posting 1,809 yards, which led the league, to go along with eight touchdowns.

He will be entering only his fourth season, yet some feel he could be the first player to attain 2,000 receiving yards in a single season this fall and winter.

He may have to do so if the Vikings are to finish with a winning record again.

The NFC may not be as deep as the AFC, but the NFC North has a rising young team in the Detroit Lions, a team that many are picking to win the division in 2023.

Another area in which Minnesota will need to improve is defense, as they ranked 28th in points allowed and 31st in total yards allowed during the 2022 campaign.

Lead pass rusher Za’Darius Smith is now a member of the Cleveland Browns, so head coach Kevin O’Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores will need to find a way to pressure opposing quarterbacks to satisfaction.
