The New Orleans Pelicans have a big decision to make ahead of them.

The NBA Draft is just a handful of days away, and they still don’t know what to do with Zion Williamson, or so we thought.

According to The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, he’s heard from a good source that Zion won’t be a part of the Pelicans come draft night.

Notably, there have been multiple rumors about Zion’s future recently, as well as some conflicting reports.

Some state that the Pelicans won’t trade him unless they get equal value in return, which seems unlikely right now after all the time he’s missed and the narratives around him.

Others state that the Pelicans are done with him and that they have no relationship whatsoever with him or his family.

The Pelicans are reportedly exploring all their options to trade up to the No. 2 spot to land Scoot Henderson, who they believe could be a franchise-altering point guard and the missing piece in their project.

The Charlotte Hornets might not be interested in helping them out by taking Zion, but the Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly shopping their No. 3 pick.

Zion has played in less than 50% of the games since entering the league, and he seems to take way more time than the usual player to come back from injuries.

Some believe he has never been truly committed to the Pelicans, and it would be a shame to see them give up on him this early, but it doesn’t seem like they have much of a choice.
