Mookie Betts has been a key spark-plug for the Los Angeles Dodgers since his arrival in 2020.
Betts is a six-time All-Star, a two-time World Series champion, a former MVP, a five-time Silver Slugger, a six-time Gold Glover, and a former batting champion.
This season has been more of the same for Betts, as he owns a .264 batting average with 17 home runs, 43 RBI, and an OPS of .868.
On Sunday, Betts made a very important announcement when he was speaking to MLB Network analyst and former MLB star Harold Reynolds, saying that if he gets selected to his seventh All-Star squad, he will take part in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby in Seattle on July 10.

Betts said that he wants to make sure he’s an All-Star before committing to the derby, but that if he is selected, he’s in.
The star outfielder also asked Reynolds for some advice on the derby.
Reynolds responded by saying that if Betts does the event, he’ll have an even better chance of getting more All-Star votes.
Reynolds even said that he would vote for Betts as a result of him choosing to participate in this year’s derby.
The Futures Game will kick off the All-Star week festivities, followed by the MLB Draft.
The Home Run Derby will take place on July 10 with the All-Star Game coming the following day.
The veteran outfielder joined the Dodgers prior to the 2020 season after being traded over from the Boston Red Sox.
He has helped guide the Dodgers to the postseason in each of his first three seasons with the club.
