The 2023 NBA Draft is only a few days away, and teams around the league are preparing for the offseason, which looks like it could be filled with a lot of player movement.

One team that wasn’t wasting any time after learning that Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards were ready to part ways was the Phoenix Suns.

Although the Suns are already considered a title contender with superstars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker leading the way in Phoenix, the team’s new ambitious owner Mat Ishbia has been going all out and jumping at every opportunity to improve his squad, with Beal becoming the team’s latest addition.

With the Suns taking on Beal’s massive contract, along with the lucrative deals for Durant, Booker, and Deandre Ayton, Phoenix has quite a payroll, and Nick Wright of Fox Sports believes it will put tremendous pressure on the team to win right away via First Things First.

Wright is right on the money, as it will be pressure immediately out of the gate for the Suns to start next season, with it being championship or bust from here on out for the new superstar trio in Phoenix.

With the competition around the league only getting better and better, it will be a tall task for the Suns to live up to expectations, especially sharing the Western Conference with potentially the team to beat for many years to come in the Denver Nuggets.

It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out next season for Phoenix and whether this move to acquire Beal is what was needed in Phoenix.
