Fans React To A Recent Paul George Trade Rumor

The Los Angeles Clippers have knocked on the door of an NBA championship for years now but to no avail.

They have yet to make it to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, and that’s despite having a stacked roster and one of the best tacticians in the game right now.

That’s why they might as well be considering the idea of moving on from their star duo and trading Paul George, according to a report by NBA insider Marc Stein (via Bleacher Report).

Needless to say, that prompted plenty of reactions on social media, from fans arguing that they should give up on Kawhi Leonard instead and others thinking this would be a big mistake.

They’re way too close to a championship to be doing this.

A couple small roster adjustments and better injury luck is all they need. (Re-sign Russ, grab a rim protector, grab a PG to come off the bench)

My actual opinion on this is that the Clippers should keep Paul George and trade Kawhi for whatever they can get.

Neither player is reliable but PG is clearly a notch above in that department.

Truth be told, George has been more durable, available, and even trustworthy since arriving in California.

He’s one of the best two-way players in the game, and while he’s obviously no Kawhi, what good does it make to have a superstar that’s never on the court?

The Clippers cannot catch a break, and their stars can’t seem to be on the floor together when it matters the most, and that’s a bummer.

But that will also most likely drive PG’s trade value down.

They seem to be too close to winning it all to give up on their duo right now unless they find someone better or healthier in return, and that doesn’t seem likely.

Whatever the case, there might not be a day that they don’t regret the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander trade now.
