Tobias Harris’ deal has been a complete nightmare for the Philadelphia 76ers since the very second he signed.
Now, he’s finally entering the last year of that terrible contract and could be on the move, yet it seems like they’re playing hardball.
According to Sixers beat writer Keith Pompey (via NBACentral), the Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and Cleveland Cavaliers have reached out to Philly to try and get a deal done for Harris, but they’re asking for “outrageous packages” in return.

Truth be told, Daryl Morey should be down on his knees thanking those teams for even reaching out.
It’s not that Harris is a bad player by any means, but he’s in the last year of a five-year contract worth a fully guaranteed $180 million.
He’s due to make $39.2 million next season.
That’s superstar kind of money, and he’s never put up superstar-caliber numbers, averaging 17.7 points per game throughout his tenure in the City of Brotherly Love.
There simply was no way that Harris was going to be able to live up to that massive contract, and that obviously affected the narrative around him.
He’s a solid role player by all means, and all the teams that asked for him could benefit from his veteran presence to round out their starting lineups.
But no one is going to overpay to get him, that’s a mistake that rarely happens more than once, and it’s pretty safe to say that the Sixers have already done it for the rest of the league.
