Draymond Green Appears To Have Sent A Message About His Contract Demands

The Golden State Warriors are hard at work in trying to keep their championship hopes alive in the Stephen Curry era, with the team recently parting ways with Jordan Poole and bringing in veteran point guard Chris Paul.

The next order of business for the Warriors with the 2023 NBA Draft now in the rearview is figuring out the Draymond Green situation, with the four-time NBA champion recently opting out of the final year of his contract to become a free agent this summer.

Although many believe that Green will re-sign with the Warriors at some point this summer, there’s a chance he could go elsewhere if Golden State deems his asking price to be too high.

It appears Green dropped a not-so-subtle hint as to how much he expects to get paid with his new contract via ClutchPoints.

Without Green in the Bay Area over the last decade, the Warriors do not win four titles and may have struggled to win one, as he’s the undisputed leader on the defensive end of the floor and the backbone of the team.

The star trio of Curry, Green, and Klay Thompson will go down as one of the best in league history, but it remains to be seen whether Golden State will be able to keep these three together and if another team swoops in and gives the veteran forward what he wants in free agency.

If Green returns to San Francisco, the Warriors will remain relevant for potentially the next few years and a threat in the Western Conference moving forward.
