Much of the attention on this year’s NBA draft class has been focused on French phenom Victor Wembanyama and, to a lesser extent, explosive guard Scoot Henderson.
But there are also some players who went later in the draft who could be diamonds in the rough and turn out to be standout players in their own right.
One such player could be Trayce Jackson-Davis, whom the Golden State Warriors took at No. 57 after acquiring the pick from the Washington Wizards.
In fact, analyst Kevin O’Connor feels he could be the steal of this year’s draft.
Quite possibly the steal of the draft. I know the NBA hates old prospects but myself and many others had Trayce Jackson-Davis as a late first rounder. https://t.co/9GPe5MdRXu

Jackson-Davis is a forward from Indiana University who stands 6-foot-9 and has a robust seven-foot wingspan, and he is a capable scoring threat inside the paint who put up 20.9 points per game on 58.1 percent shooting this past season.
He also registered 10.8 rebounds a game, and his 2.9 blocked shots per contest show how capable he is on the defensive end.
The Warriors have an aging core, and they have looked to add viable young players over the last few years in order to extend their dynasty.
However, some of those young players haven’t quite panned out, as they have traded James Wiseman and now Jordan Poole within a span of several months.
They will be hoping that Jackson-Davis will live up to his potential and expand their championship window.
