Wembymania has officially made its way to the National Basketball Association.
The most hyped NBA prospect since LeBron James has already made his presence felt around the league.
According to ESPN’s Ben Cafardo (via Hoop Central), the 2023 NBA Draft was the most-watched NBA Draft across every network in the history of this event.

Ironically, it’s not that people didn’t know where Wembanyama was heading to, as he was the consensus and undisputed No. 1 pick even months before the NBA Draft Lottery gave the San Antonio Spurs the No. 1 pick.
This was a star-studded draft class featuring multiple players that could go on to become perennial All-Stars.
Brandon Miller has shades of Paul George and the potential to be an elite two-way player for years to come.
Scoot Henderson reminds us of a young Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook, an explosive point guard with elite athleticism.
The Thompson twins could be defensive forces in the league for the next decade-plus, and their athleticism, IQ, and work ethic could also make them two of the best two-way players in the past twenty years or so.
But obviously, all eyes will be on the 7-foot-5 unique specimen out of France.
Wembanyama has the opportunity and skills to be the greatest player in the history of this sport.
And even if he falls short of those unrealistic expectations, chances are that he still will be one of the most entertaining players to watch across all major sports for many more years to come.
