Patrick Mahomes is routinely recognized as one of, if not the best quarterback that’s currently in the NFL.

He has brought the Kansas City Chiefs to three Super Bowls, winning two.

Mahomes also has two league MVP awards to his name, something he will look to build upon in 2023.

Is there anyone across the league that can rival him over the next five years?

In a recent segment on Good Morning Football, the team debated their pick for Mahomes’ largest rival.

“I would go, Joe Burrow,” Sara Walsh said.

Who is Patrick Mahomes’ biggest rival over the next 5 years?

Burrow, Allen, or someone else?

“You can be good… You can be good for a decade… You gotta be hoisting that trophy to get the respect that Mahomes is getting, and deservedly so.” @Sara_Walsh pic.twitter.com/W7sbKBY6Ry

Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have played well against the Chiefs during his tenure.

The first time that Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the Bengals during the Burrow era was in this year’s AFC Championship.

Walsh believes that, due to the continued strength of the Bengals’ offense, Burrow is the quarterback to pose the biggest threat to Mahomes.

Currently, Burrow has Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd as his top three receiving options.

While these three are seen as one of the best receiver groups in the league, does it ultimately matter?

Mahomes lost Tyreek Hill during the 2022 offseason, which caused many to doubt the Chiefs’ abilities.

Even without Hill, Mahomes was able to establish new targets, and further his connection with Travis Kelce.

Mahomes has continued his knack to find diamonds in the rough on his offense.

While he might not have the star power names that Burrow has at his disposal, Mahomes’ skill seems to narrow the gap.
