Malik Willis was drafted by the Tennesee Titans in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Willis was a polarizing prospect heading into the draft.
Some believed he was closer to a second-round talent, while others had little to no faith in him at all.
Regardless of what others believed, the Titans took a swing, landing Willis to compete with Ryan Tannehill.
He started just three games in his rookie season, amassing a record of 1-2.
Despite his lack of success in his first season, Willis is determined to things around.
According to NFL Rookie Watch via Willis’ Instagram, he said, “It’s gonna get so crazy when that script flip.”

Willis’ offseason has gone well thus far and has turned many heads within the organization.
If he continues on this trajectory, he could be on a fast track to get the starting job, if all goes according to plan.
However, he’ll have to compete with Tannehill as well as Will Levis, so his path to the starting gig might be more difficult than last season.
The Titans used second-round capital on Levis, indicating their feelings about his value as a prospect.
Tannehill is tied to the team until the end of this season.
If the Titans like what they see out of Levis and Willis, they might be prone to move him, should a viable suitor come into the fold.
Can Willis prove all of his doubters wrong, making a strong push for the Titans’ starting gig for the foreseeable future?
