The Arizona Diamondbacks have been one baseball’s biggest surprises this year.

After a busy offseason, they were expected to make some significant improvements.

However, they’ve even exceeded those expectations and now have the second-best record in the National League.

Their young core, which features stars such as Corbin Carroll, has been the driving force for them this season.

On Tuesday, Carroll hit a three-run homer in the first inning against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Rookie of the Year candidate is currently in the running to potentially secure a starting spot on the National League All-Star team.

On Twitter, the D-Backs posted a video of Carroll’s home run and called on fans to vote for him and make him an All-Star starter.

The 22-year-old outfielder came up to the Major Leagues last season and made his MLB debut late in the season.

This year, the young speedster is off to a hot start.

He has stolen 23 bases, but is also hitting for a high average and for some power at the plate.

Carroll owns a .293 average with 17 home runs, 44 RBI, and an OPS of .938.

The 22-year-old is also reaching base at a .370 clip while slugging .568 and posting an OPS+ of 154.

There are four outfielders competing for the final two starting spots on the National League’s roster.

Ronald Acuna Jr. secured the first starting spot.

Carroll is in some tight competition with Mookie Betts, Michael Harris II, and his D-Backs teammate in Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

Phase two of voting closes soon.
