The New Orleans Pelicans were rumored to be in the market to try and trade Zion Williamson before the NBA Draft.

And while that didn’t happen, and they failed to acquire Scoot Henderson — the prospect they were reportedly targeting — or anything else in return, that doesn’t mean speculation has come to an end.

As it happens every offseason, a video of Zion throwing a vicious dunk went viral, but this time, not many people were all that impressed.

That’s the case with former NBA player Tim Hardaway Sr., who recently argued that Zion looks out of shape and that the dunk didn’t seem fluent or sharp, adding that he was “very concerned” about that.

Notably, Zion hasn’t made the news for anything positive in months now.

He was shut down for the season and couldn’t even make it to the All-Star break, and all the off-court distractions could also be an issue.

Zion’s weight has always been a talking point and a concern, up to the point where the Pelicans even included a weight clause in his contract extension.

There has been a lot of talk about his work ethic — or lack thereof — and commitment to the organization, and some believe this is just a trick to try and force his way out of the Big Easy.

Whatever the case, his trade value might be at an all-time low right now, and rightfully so.

He’s never going to stay healthy unless he gets in shape, and that doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment.
