Andre Drummond has bounced around the NBA over the last few years, never staying with one team for more than a whole season since 2018-19.
According to the latest reporting, it sounds like he will continue his travel through the league next season.
Marc Stein, via NBACentral, reports that Drummond is expected to sign with the Dallas Mavericks at the start of free agency.
Said Stein:
“Multiple rival teams have told me this week that they expect Dallas to come to terms early in free agency with former All-Star center Andre Drummond … provided Drummond, as expected, declines his $3.36 million player option with Chicago before his Thursday’s deadline to do so.”

In many ways, Drummond and Dallas look like a match made in basketball heaven.
He is an accomplished, talented big man who has been in the league for years.
And the Mavericks desperately need an accomplished center to help the team’s defense and improve its offense, working well alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
However, Drummond doesn’t seem like a capable starting option.
In 2022-23, the 29-year-old player averaged just 6 points and 6.6 rebounds, playing only 12.7 minutes per game and not starting in any of them.
Therefore, he would help with the Mavericks but he wouldn’t be the answer to all their problems.
However, if the Mavericks can get him for an inexpensive fee, this will make sense and he can help the team’s second unit.
Fans of the Mavericks are hoping that this isn’t Dallas’ only move during free agency.
They have multiple problems plaguing them and the front office needs to be awfully busy if they wish to address them all.
Drummond’s addition might be the first of many over the next few days.
