A couple of days ago, when the Cleveland Guardians were playing in Kansas City, manager Terry Francona didn’t feel quite right before the game and had to be taken to the hospital.

It happened on Tuesday, and he actually spent the night at the hospital as a precaution.

Bench coach DeMarlo Hale was leading the team the last few games with Francona resting.

Given his lengthy health history, the baseball world became concerned about Francona, one of the best at what he does and one of the most beloved characters in the game.

There was also a sense of uncertainty about what he had.

Fortunately for him, the Guardians organization, and fans who were concerned about his well being, there is some good news to report.

Guardians insider Mandy Bell, who closely follows the team’s every move, reported on Friday morning that Francona would be back in the dugout for Friday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.

It’s an early game, too, so fans will be able to see Tito back in the dugout and in good spirits.

The Guardians are in first place of the AL Central division, tied with the Minnesota Twins.

They have a mediocre 39-41 record, though, so they need every contribution they can get from all the members in the organization, most notably Francona.

The former World Series champ and Manager of the Year award winner is known for getting the best out of the roster at his disposal, and he has shown time and time again that he is the right man to lead the Guardians.
