The Sacramento Kings were a breakout team last season and reached the NBA playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades.

They are now eager to prove to fans across the league that they aren’t just a flash in the pan – they are here to stay.

To do that, they are adding even more power to their roster.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the team has agreed to a three-year, $20 million deal with Sasha Vezenkov, the EuroLeague’s Most Valuable Player.

Hailing from the Greek League, Vezenkov is a stellar shooter who can add great depth and perimeter shooting to the team.

He has a career average of 40% from the three-point line and also 63% from the two-point range.

While transitioning from the EuroLeague to the NBA might take some time and effort, it is clear that Vezenkov is a very talented young player at 27 years old.

In his report, Wojnarowski said that Vezenkov is expected to play a “formidable role” with the team.

That is interesting to note and suggests that he could become a very important part of the team and their lineup.

If he plays well, he could even become a starter for the Kings.

The Kings were terrific all season long and ultimately ended up as the second seed with a 48-34 record.

However, unfortunate injuries and a tough conference resulted in them being pushed out of the playoffs in the first round by the Golden State Warriors.

But it seems very likely that this team could have another impressive run in 2023-24 and they could be back in the postseason again and again for the foreseeable future.

The acquisition of Vezenkov can only enhance their chances.
