The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly set to be quite aggressive in their pursuit of more talent.

The Steve Ballmer era kicked off with big moves and huge financial investments, but they still have no hardware to show for it.

With that in mind, the team is going to explore multiple avenues to try and put an end to their history of never making it to the NBA Finals, let alone winning a championship.

According to Zach Lowe of ESPN (via NBACentral), the Clippers are showing interest in trading for Toronto Raptors veteran Pascal Siakam.

Siakam has been tangled up in multiple trade rumors for years now, but he’s stayed with the team through thick and team.

Even so, there were some reports about him and Fred VanVleet allegedly being frustrated with some of the younger players last season, and the Raptors might need to come to terms with the fact that they’re long overdue for a full-throttle rebuild.

Siakam is a borderline All-Star who can contribute on both ends of the floor.

He can put the ball on the floor or create for others, block shots, play at the four or the five, guard multiple positions, and score from all three levels.

While he failed to reach franchise-player status, he’d still give the Clippers a massive boost, not to mention the fact that he could carry the load alongside Russell Westbrook if — or when — Paul George and/or Kawhi Leonard sit with injuries.

Still, it remains to be seen if the Clippers will be willing to meet the Raptors’ asking price for him, as it won’t be cheap.
