The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the more busy teams in the NBA ever since free agency got underway last Friday, with the team knowing their championship window is open and the right moves need to be made this summer to compete next season.

Unlike in the past, the Lakers weren’t swinging for the fences this summer in terms of targeting superstars in free agency or on the trade market.

Rob Pelinka and company needed to keep their team intact while adding a few pieces to stay in title contention in the Western Conference, and the team was able to do just that.

On Thursday, when teams were able to start making their agreements with players official in free agency, the Lakers signed forward Cam Reddish.

Along with Reddish, the Lakers officially signed Taurean Prince, Jaxson Hayes, and Gabe Vincent on Thursday, which will make Los Angeles a deep team next season.

The Lakers also made it official that they have re-signed Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura.

Before heading into free agency, Pelinka let it be known that the team fully intended to keep the core intact in Los Angeles, and by all accounts, they’ve done that with Reaves, Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, and D’Angelo Russell back in the fold.

Adding Vincent improves the backcourt while Hayes gives the team another big body, and Prince improves the team’s three-point shooting.

Reddish may be able to finally prove his worth in Los Angeles after failed stints with the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, and Portland Trail Blazers.
