Jordan Poole is no longer a part of the Golden State Warriors, yet his past relationships with former teammates remain a topic in the NBA.
The young guard is set to start a new chapter in his career after he was traded to the Washington Wizards in the deal that sent Chris Paul to the Warriors.
Poole had a 2022-23 NBA season with the Warriors that was filled with controversy, as everything went south for him during training camp when Draymond Green punched him in the face.
Now that he’s on a different team, Poole has had the chance to talk about his relationship with former teammates, especially with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
“I can text Steph. I can text Klay. I can call them and just have a conversation. That doesn’t go anywhere. If anything, I just know the plays that they run.”

Poole’s exit from the Warriors was surrounded by plenty of rumors. The Draymond Green altercation was believed to be the main reason why he was shipped to the Wizards.
However, other reports suggest that the relationship between him and Steve Kerr could have been a factor as well.

Poole became a champion with the Warriors last year and was once seen as the future of the Warriors with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson getting older.
But he is in a different situation now, playing for a rebuilding team with plenty of young players.
Poole and Kyle Kuzma will be in charge to lead this new era for the Wizards, who are keen to compete in the East.
Last season, Poole averaged 20.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in 80 games.
