The Portland Trail Blazers have made it clear that they won’t take a penny on the dollar for Damian Lillard.
As they should, they will only trade him to the team that’s willing and able to meet their asking price, given that Lillard still has four years left on his contract.
With that in mind, Shams Charania of The Athletic (via NBACentral) reports that a multi-team trade could be just enough to get him to the Miami Heat.
There’s a potential multi-team trade where Miami could trade Tyler Herro for a first-round pick and then send 3-4 first-round picks to Portland for Damian Lillard, per @ShamsCharania

Per Charania, the Heat could trade Tyler Herro for a first-round pick and then send three or four first-round picks to Portland to finally wrap their hands around the superstar.
There have been plenty of rumors and chatter regarding Lillard’s desire to play in South Beach, up to the point where his agent has reportedly reached out to every other team to let them know that Lillard has no intention whatsoever of playing for them.
This has taken a big toll on Lillard’s reputation, with plenty of fans and insiders calling him out and stating that he’s taking player empowerment a little too far.
Whatever the case, the Blazers still have the final say in this situation, and they should be in no rush to get a deal done, granted that the NBA Draft has already passed.
The Heat will need to continue stacking up assets to try and one-up their current offer, which has reportedly left the Blazers unimpressed.
Otherwise, they may not be able to get their coveted All-Star this offseason.
