Even though he has proven himself as one of the most crucial parts of the Boston Celtics over the last few years, Jaylen Brown still hasn’t secured a new contract with the team.
Despite the lack of an extension, it is assumed by everyone that Brown and the Celtics will come together on a deal in the near future.
According to ESPN, per Legon Hoops, Brown is going to get a boatload of cash.
They report that Brown’s supermax contract extension with Boston could reach up to $304 million, with $70 million in the final year.

That is an incredible amount of money and it had people talking.
Many NBA followers jumped online to question if Brown really was worth that much money.
He is good, but is he good enough for $304 million, they asked.

In 2022-23, Brown posted 26.6 points and 6.9 rebounds a game on a strong 49.1% from the field.
While Brown is definitely wanted by Boston’s front office, will this deal put them in a tough spot?
Some people are worried that the Celtics won’t be able to sign anyone else after this monster deal.

For the last season, there have been rumors about Brown possibly leaving the Celtics.
However, these contract negotiations show that Boston is very serious about keeping Brown around for the foreseeable future.
