Most of the moves that are going to be made this summer have already come to fruition, with a lot of teams signing players in NBA free agency and a few teams making trades.
Although most of the movement in the league is already done, one of the biggest names set to change teams still doesn’t know where he’ll be playing next season.
After opting into the final year of his deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, superstar guard James Harden told the team that he wants to be traded before next season, with the Los Angeles Clippers high on his list of preferred destinations.
Even though Harden wants to land back in his hometown of Los Angeles, a deal has yet to come to fruition, with the 76ers seemingly doing their due diligence in finding the best trade package possible for the future Hall of Famer.
76ers legend Charles Barkley recently chimed in on what he thinks about the Harden situation with his former team and believes it’s time to make a deal already and focus on stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey via NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“I think it’s time for them to make that trade and turn the team over to Joel and Maxey.”

There’s no telling when a deal will get done between the 76ers and the Clippers or if another team comes out of nowhere and expresses interest in the veteran guard.
With Harden not having a no-trade clause, it’ll be up to general manager Daryl Morey to do what’s best for the team, and he’s about as good as any general manager in the league at finding the right deal, even if it takes a long time to do it.
