The Arizona Cardinals shocked everyone early in the NFL offseason with the team failing to trade superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and simply releasing him, making him a free agent.
With Hopkins hitting the open market, the consensus was that he’d be picked up right away by a team in desperate need of upgrading its receiving corps.
However, that turned out not to be the case, even though Hopkins was rumored to be getting interest from the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
With these two Super Bowl title contenders going after Hopkins, it seemed like only a matter of time before he’d land with one of them or another team willing to throw a lot of money at the veteran.
Fast forward to the middle of July, Hopkins has decided to join the Tennessee Titans, and he shared his reaction on Instagram with a picture of him and fellow superstar Derrick Henry via Dov Kleiman of BroBible.

With the Chiefs, Bills, and New England Patriots all showing interest in Hopkins, it’s interesting that he chose to land with the Titans, who are currently not a team expected to do much of anything moving forward.
The Titans are losing confidence in starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and, as a result, drafted Will Levis out of the University of Kentucky, which could become a quarterback controversy heading into training camp.
Along with the shaky situation at quarterback, Henry has been rumored to be a player the team has considered trading, but nothing has come of that, nor does it look like that will happen anytime soon, especially with the addition of Hopkins.
