Fans Remember Incredible Steph Curry Prediction From 10 Years Ago

No one, not even the most optimistic Golden State Warriors fan, ever thought Stephen Curry was going to be as good as he ended up being.

Despite coming from an NBA lineage, he was still an overlooked prospect coming out of high school, and he had to play his way up the ladder at a lesser-known program like Davidson for years.

Even still, he slid to the No. 7 spot in the NBA Draft, with the Minnesota Timberwolves taking back-to-back point guards (Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn) ahead of Steph.

The Warriors even tried to trade him early in his career to keep building around Monta Ellis, but the Milwaukee Bucks weren’t interested in him and his shaky ankles.

Still, Steph always knew he was going to make an impact in his league, predicting he’d still be playing at a high level after ten years in the league when asked about his career as a rookie.

Needless to say, multiple fans reacted to that clip shared by Hoop Central, as it’s more than evident that he fulfilled that prophecy.

Safe to say he was right

It’s kind of hard to label Steph as an underdog, considering his upbringing as Dell Curry’s son, and the fact that he didn’t only have the gene pool but also better chances to work on his game.

But even so, no one ever thought he would go on to be one of the most influential players of all time, let alone that he’d change the game the way he did.
