Torii Hunter was one of the finest defensive center fielders the game of baseball had to offer during his prime.
His defensive prowess and ability to make some truly remarkable catches earned him the nickname “Spiderman.”
Today is a special day for the former outfielder, as he celebrates his 48th birthday.
Hunter played most of his career with the Minnesota Twins, but also spent time with the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers.
On Twitter, MLB Vault posted a video of a fantastic catch Hunter made during his time with the Twins to celebrate the legendary center fielder’s big day.

Hunter was best known for his defense.
The legendary outfielder won nine Gold Gloves over the course of his career.
In addition, he was a five-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger.
For his career, he posted a WAR of 50.7, amassed a total of 2,452 hits, hit for a career average of .277, and crushed 353 home runs.
He also had an OPS .793 over the course of his career.
Hunter made his Major League debut in 1997 and was with the Twins until 2008, when he joined the Halos.
The Tigers signed him to a two-year deal prior to the 2013 season.
The veteran outfielder returned to the Twins for his final season in 2015.
His best season came in 2007, when he hit 28 home runs, drove in 107 runs, and posted a batting average of .287, which was a career high.
But it was his defense in center field that won him nine Gold Gloves and stole the show on numerous occasions.
