Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is once again in the spotlight for not-so-positive reasons.

The Michigan State product made the rounds after shedding light on why he punched Jordan Poole.

Green claimed that he just doesn’t go around punching people, pretty much stating that it was Poole’s fault for constantly provoking him and crossing the line.

Those comments rubbed plenty of people the wrong way, including Poole’s father and best friend.

Notably, sports analyst Emmanuel Acho also had some issues with Green’s explanation, recalling several incidents he’s been involved in throughout the course of his career to prove that he actually does go around punching people.

Per Acho, Green’s behavior has been a tendency, not an exception, adding that if drama is always following him, then maybe he’s the issue.

Truth be told, Green failed as a leader and a veteran, and he’s admitted it.

He should’ve handled Poole’s situation a little better, even if he was immature and annoying, as most reports state.

Poole had already irked Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and other veterans, yet going from that to punching a teammate is a whole different thing.

But more than that, it seems like there’s no need to keep going back and adding more fuel to the fire by constantly talking about this incident again.

That’s not in Green’s best interest, especially if he doesn’t want that bad rap to follow him around after being tangled up in so many physical and questionable reactions since he entered the league.
