Over the past few years, superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson has been plagued with injuries on top of a controversial contract situation that got to the point of him asking the Baltimore Ravens to trade him heading into the NFL offseason.
With all that has gone on in Baltimore and Jackson struggling to stay healthy and on the field for the Ravens, the former NFL MVP has taken a backseat to some up-and-coming quarterbacks in the league, like Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and Josh Allen.
That was never more evident than when player ratings for the quarterback position on Madden 24 were released recently, with Jackson being the fourth-highest-rated quarterback behind Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes.
Although few would argue with these ratings as they seem pretty accurate due to Jackson’s battles with injuries, the Ravens superstar was compelled to react to his overall rating of 91 on his Twitter account.
Imma just move it to a 99 wen I get the gamehttps://t.co/K20DuCnwet

One thing Jackson has going for him heading into training camp and the 2023 NFL season to follow is that the Ravens have upgraded considerably on the offensive side of the football, setting him up for a potentially huge year in Baltimore.
Even though the primary concern this summer was getting Jackson to sign a new long-term contract, the Ravens did everything within their power to upgrade offensively, adding superstar Odell Beckham Jr., rookie wideout Zay Flowers, and most recently signing running back Melvin Gordon.
The Ravens are stacked offensively heading into the 2023 campaign, and no one stands to benefit more than Jackson.
