The game on Friday night between the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets was ultimately cut short due to torrential rain at Fenway Park.

The game was suspended and will be resumed on Saturday prior to the originally scheduled game.

However, after the game was cut short, Red Sox fans decided to have a little bit of fun.

The amounts of rain caused some flooding behind the Green Monster and in some of the various concourses.

But instead of panicking, Red Sox fans chose to relish the moment.

On Twitter, Red Sox writer Thomas Carrieri posted a video of a fan sliding through the water during the delay.

This is one way to kill time during a rain delay.

Red Sox fans were presented a unique opportunity thanks to the significant amounts of standing water from the rain.

But one fan chose to treat it as a slip n’ slide and dove straight into the puddles.

Red Sox and Mets fans alike enjoyed the moment, with several other fans filming the moment.

The game was stopped in the fourth inning with the Mets ahead of the Red Sox 4-3.

But that didn’t stop fans in attendance from having the time of their lives during the delay.

No fans appeared to be in a hurry to get out of the ballpark.

Instead, they were presented with a unique opportunity to have a little extra fun and enhance their experience, and they ultimately made the most of it on a rainy Friday night at Fenway Park.
