Scott Rolen is set to be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown this afternoon.
Rolen played 17 seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Cincinnati Reds.
On Saturday, Rolen convened with fellow inductee Fred McGriff and spoke with the media ahead of the upcoming festivities.
Rolen was asked a pressing question by a reporter, that being, which former teammate of his he thought would ultimately be headed to the Hall of Fame next.
The former Cardinals slugger then gave Albert Pujols a shoutout, saying that he thinks the three-time NL MVP has a chance to be the next teammate of his to be enshrined in Cooperstown.
Bob Nightengale posted this bit of information on Twitter.
Scott Rolen when asked what former teammates he believed will be in the Hall of Fame: ‘Well, Albert Pujols. I think he has a chance.’

Pujols is essentially a lock for Cooperstown.
Last year, he walked away from the game alongside Yadier Molina.
Pujols, Rolen, Jim Edmonds, David Eckstein, Molina, Chris Carpenter, and Adam Wainwright won a World Series title together in 2006.
Rolen joined the Cardinals in 2002 and helped form the famous “MV3” consisting of himself, Pujols, and Edmonds.
Last season, Pujols achieved a historic feat when he hit his 700th career home run.
Rolen certainly understands what a dynamic player Pujols was over the course of his 22-year Major League career.
The two sluggers accomplished a lot together and were cornerstones on the Cardinals’ roster for several years.
Pujols will not be eligible for the Hall of Fame until 2028, as a player must be retired for at least five years to be eligible.
But Rolen is likely correct in his prediction that Pujols will join him in Cooperstown.
