As expected, everybody’s talking about Jaylen Brown’s massive contract extension with the Boston Celtics.

There had been an ongoing debate about Brown’s new deal for weeks now, and now that it’s official, the sentiment around the league seems to be that the Celtics overpaid.

However, in the latest edition of “Gil’s Arena” with Gilbert Arenas, former NBA player Brandon Jennings didn’t seem to be too worried about that.

Per Jennings, he’s not even going to finish his contract in Boston, predicting that he’s going to be in Houston by the end of the deal.

Arenas chimed in and claimed that this isn’t a sign-and-trade kind of deal at the moment but didn’t rule out the possibility of him leaving if he wants to have his own team.

Notably, Brown was tied with multiple trades over the past couple of months, with some stating he could take his talents to the Portland Trail Blazers in a sign-and-trade involving Damian Lillard, and others citing the Houston Rockets would go all-in for him.

His relationship with Ime Udoka is no secret, and the Rockets did have enough money and assets to try and pull a deal off for him.

Moreover, Brown has seemed uncomfortable in Boston from time to time, not to mention the fact that his name has been thrown in countless trade rumors throughout the course of his career there.

Still, for now, he’s a Boston Celtic, and the team will have to continue building and planning with that in mind, at least for the time being.
