The Washington Commanders have been talked about this offseason for what they have done off the field.
Owner Dan Synder is officially out and a new ownership group led by Josh Harris has taken over.
At least the Commanders will be better in the front office with Snyder no longer there.
When looking at the Commanders on the field, they do not look like a contender.
They seem much more in a rebuild than they are willing to admit.
But to have success this year they need to rely on their defense.
One player who needs to have a bounce-back year is Chase Young.
Young played a total of three games last season and did not make much of an impact.
He must find a way to stay healthy.
According to JP Finlay, Young said, “Just know that I feel good, I’m running around and I’m feeling explosive again.”
Chase Young: “Just know that I feel good, I’m running around and I’m feeling explosive again.” Has looked like it in practices.

Young was dominant in his rookie year back in 2020.
He won Defensive Rookie of the Year and recorded 7.5 sacks.
The Commanders need him to get back to that level.
A defensive front of Young, Jonathan Allen, and Da’Ron Payne could be one of the best in the NFL.
But your best ability is availability and Young has simply not been available.
Young is entering the final year of his rookie deal and could be in line for a big payday at season’s end.
But if he has another injury-plagued year he will probably be looking at a one-year deal.
