The Washington Commanders are slated to undergo significant change in the near future.

Not only has the team recently gotten new ownership, but it’s also been reported that they could change their name.

While there are a lot of impending changes to this organization, in terms of the on-field product, it’s business as usual.

The Commanders, similar to other teams across the league, have recently started training camp.

As the team’s official Twitter page has recently pointed out, Kevin Durant was spotted at this event.

Durant is originally from Washington, D.C., and is a well-documented Commanders fan.

He and many other Commanders fans showed up to training camp to check in on the status of his favorite team.

Going through an ownership change can be a challenge, something the team will need to work through moving forward.

One of the first challenges that the Commanders will need to overcome is their quarterback situation.

After a largely unsuccessful run with Taylor Heinicke and Carson Wentz last season, it appears that the Commanders have moved on to Sam Howell.

Howell appeared in just one game last year, throwing for 169 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

He is slated to be the team’s starter moving forward as they look to make strides as a team.

The organization has made it to the playoffs twice in the last ten years, which is something they’re wishing to change.

As they look forward to a potential new name change under their new ownership, can the Commanders turn their on-field product around?
