The Pittsburgh Pirates are a team that has fallen far out of postseason contention after a promising start to the season.
The Bucs sit in last place in the NL Central with a record of 45-57.
As such, the Pirates are expected to be sellers at this year’s trade deadline.
On Thursday, they sent first baseman Carlos Santana to the Milwaukee Brewers.
However, there are more assets of theirs that are receiving attention from other teams.
On Twitter, Jon Heyman of the New York Post noted that veteran catcher Austin Hedges is garnering some interest, as well as pitchers Rich Hill, Colin Holderman, Mitch Keller, and David Bednar.

There are several assets that the Pirates could look to deal for the right price.
Hedges could be an interesting fit with a team like the New York Yankees.
The Yankees recently lost catcher Jose Trevino for the season and are in need of some catching help.
Pitching is always at a premium.
Teams looking for rental starters may be interested in Hill, who has bounced around several organizations over the years.
Holderman could be a viable bullpen piece for a contending team.
Bednar and Keller might come at a much higher cost than Holderman or Hill, but Heyman notes that several teams have been calling the Pirates about the availability of those two.
Pittsburgh certainly is not in an unfamiliar position, having been sellers at last year’s deadline as well.
But each of the listed players could be interesting fits for certain teams that are in contention.
