Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. is now two years removed from his ACL injury and is back to full strength.

This year, Acuna is putting up some truly remarkable numbers.

The young outfielder and four-time All-Star is hitting .333 with 24 home runs and 61 RBI.

He also has stolen 50 bases.

According to Bob Nightengale, Acuna is on pace to finish the season in some elite company.

Acuna may join the 25-homer/80 stolen base club.

That is an all-exclusive club.

Rickey Henderson hit 28 home runs and stole 87 bases in 1986 with the New York Yankees, while Eric Davis hit 27 homers and stole 80 bases in the same year with the Cincinnati Reds.

Meanwhile, how about #Mets’ SS Luisangel’s big brother, Ronald Acuna Jr:
He’s on the verge of joining rare company:
The 25 HR/80 stolen base club:
Rickey Henderson: 28 HRs, 87 SBs(1986, Yankees).
Eric Davis: 27 HRs, 80 SBs(1986, Reds).
Acuna: 24 HRs, 50SBs with 60 games remaining

Acuna has once again put together a successful season to date.

The two-time Silver Slugger and former Rookie of the Year is just one home run away from accomplishing the first half of the feat.

From there, all he’ll need is 30 more stolen bases to officially join Henderson and Davis in the club.

Acuna made his Major League debut in 2018 with the Braves and has helped guide the team back to prominence after a few down seasons.

Atlanta owns the best record in all of baseball at 66-36.

They have an 11-game lead over the defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies.

Acuna returned from his ACL injury early last season and has bounced back from it with a flourish.

The Braves slugger is now on the verge of joining a historic club.

All he needs is 30 more stolen bases and one more home run to join it.
