Divisional rivalries in the NFL can become quite heated and are typically rich with historical significance.

Take the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, for example.

Both are some of the NFL’s oldest franchises, and they have faced off 206 times, an NFL record.

Green Bay leads the series over the Bears, as they’ve won 105 of these meetings, and the Bears have taken home 95, with six ties mixed in.

This rivalry is usually heated, and the games typically go down to the wire.

However, the rivalry is much more one-sided for teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos.

Frank Clark has recently moved on from the Chiefs, signing a 1-year contract with the Broncos.

When asked about the divisional matchups between the two teams, Clark responded, “In a rivalry, it’s competitive,” according to the NFL on ESPN.

As the NFL on ESPN’s Twitter page points out, the Chiefs have won 15 straight games against the Broncos.

The Patrick Mahomes era in Kansas City has instituted a winning culture, including a clean sweep of their Denver-based counterparts.

The Chiefs have been on quite the run as of late.

Will the Broncos be able to keep up this season, breaking a 15-game losing streak?

If Clark has anything to say about it, 2023 could be a turnaround year for this organization.

Their defense has continued to improve, Russell Wilson is slated to take a step forward, and anything is possible with Sean Payton at the helm.

Will an AFC West team knock the Chiefs off their throne atop the division?
