Rudy Gobert has made great strides since he made it to the NBA.

He went from being the No. 27 pick in the NBA Draft to signing one of the largest deals in the history of the league, also taking the Defensive Player of the Year Award three times.

Needless to say, that takes plenty of hard work, and even though he’s always been a defensive-oriented player, he’s also made sure to work on his offense to become a factor on that end of the floor.

He took baby steps in that regard, working on his free-throw shooting first and becoming a more aggressive player as a dunker and finisher later.

Now, it seems like the Minnesota Timberwolves big man is looking to add yet another layer to his game, as he was spotted working on his three-point shot during practice with France’s national team, as shared by NBA Central.

Gobert’s form is actually quite nice, and it seems like he’s going to have the green light to fire from deep when he plays with France, at least.

Adding more range to his game could also do wonders for the Timberwolves, as the spacing seemed odd with him and Karl-Anthony Towns sharing the floor, even with Towns being more than able to knock down shots from the perimeter.

Even so, it’s hard to envision Gobert pulling up from beyond the arc often in the NBA, as his value on the court resides in his rim protection and how he’s able to alter shots down low.
