The New York Jets are already a Super Bowl contender as they are right now, and they could get even better.
They’re quite interested in signing Dalvin Cook as Breece Hall’s backup, and that would give them one of the prime running back tandems in the league.
Even Cook himself admitted that his joining the Jets could make them a Super Team, and NFL analyst — and well-known Jets fan — Craig Carton seemed to agree.
Carton claimed that the Jets would be a Superteam upon his arrival, as they already have the running backs, the defense, the wide receivers, and the quarterback.
Moreover, Carton explained that Cook is still in his prime and went as far as to say that he would instantly become the second-best running back in Jets history as soon as he played a single snap for the team.
“Dalvin Cook is in his prime. When Dalvin comes out and says that the New York Jets would be a super team if he joined them, he happens to be RIGHT.”

Carton added that Cook is as healthy as he’s ever been, and given how productive he’s been when healthy, there’s no reason to think he woudln’t give this team a massive boost, even if he’s not the starter and they still ride with Breece Hall more often than not.
The Minnesota Vikings released Cook after he posted his fourth-consecutive season rushing for 1,000+ yards, making it a bit of a head-scratching move, even if they were looking to cut back some expenses.
Cook can still be a starter on any team, and he’d be a luxury — not a need — for the already impressive Jets, assuming he finally decides to sign there.
