The Detroit Tigers are clearly in sell-mode as the trade deadline approaches.
We are now just one day away from the official deadline.
The phones will be ringing non-stop for the next two days.
The Tigers have several pitchers that are likely to be dealt ahead of Tuesday’s 6 p.m. deadline.
Eduardo Rodriguez and Michael Lorenzen are two of the most sought-after pitchers on the market.
On Twitter, MLB Insider Bob Nightengale predicted that the Tigers will in fact be trading both of them, but that as of now, it’s only a matter of which team ultimately caves and pays the high price the Tigers are asking for.
The Detroit #Tigers are definitely trading starters Eduardo Rodriguez and Michael Lorenzen, it’s simply a case of seeing which team blinks first with their high price tag.

Lorenzen was Detroit’s lone All-Star this season.
He owns a record of 5-7 and has an ERA of 3.58 through his first 18 starts of the season.
Lorenzen is a valuable commodity because he has the ability to start and come out of the bullpen if need be.
Rodriguez has been an interesting case this year.
The veteran left-hander has dealt with injuries this season, but he does own an ERA of 2.95 through his first 15 starts and has a record of 6-5.
Rodriguez and Lorenzen are both likely to be free agents at the end of the season.
Lorenzen’s deal with the Tigers was a one-year deal.
Rodriguez signed a five-year pact with the Tigers prior to the 2022 season, but he does have an opt-out clause in his contract after this year.
The left-hander is expected to exercise that opt-out clause and hit free agency this coming winter.
