The Minnesota Timberwolves made one of the most surprising moves of the 2022-2023 offseason by trading for Rudy Gobert.
While this move added an additional big man to their roster, it was highly scrutinized at the time.
This deal sent the Utah Jazz significant pieces, including five players, and four first-round picks.
In his first season with the Timberwolves, Gobert was the team’s fifth-leading scorer and the leader in rebounds.
A recent clip has been shared via NBA Central and Karl-Anthony Towns, which shows Gobert putting in extra work in the offseason.
This particular clip shows Gobert trying to extend his range, shooting some three-pointers.
This caused Towns to react positively, seeing that he is the Timberwolves’ all-time leader in made three-pointers.

If Gobert can efficiently add threes to his repertoire, it could make a world of difference for this organization.
Towns is widely viewed as one of the best shooting big men in the NBA, and his ability to stretch the floor is certainly impressive.
If Gobert keeps it up, the Timberwolves could take the NBA world by storm this season, having two elite, tall shooters on their roster.
Despite adding Gobert last year, the Timberwolves finished just over .500, with a 42-40 record.
Over the past several years, the Timberwolves, at times, have seemed like a force to be reckoned with, but haven’t materialized that into a deep playoff run.
With any luck, the three-headed monster of Towns, Gobert, and Anthony Edwards could finally perform as expected, propelling them to new heights as an organization.
