Not many NBA teams are able to pull off what the Minnesota Timberwolves did by pairing multiple No. 1 picks on the court.

The first version of that experiment didn’t exactly turn out well with Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, but the results have been way more encouraging with Anthony Edwards.

Edwards has proven to be a leader on and off the court right away, and his remarkable athleticism and natural abilities have only been topped by his work ethic.

That’s why Shams Charania wanted to dig a little deeper into his style of leadership.

When asked about that, Edwards claimed that he doesn’t need to do a lot of talking to be a leader; he just needs to make sure his teammates see him putting in the work every single day, and that he would do whatever it takes to win.

Edwards believes that’s contagious, and he believes in leading by example.

Notably, the former No. 1 pick recently stated that he’s looking forward to helping the team win 50 games and for Towns to be an MVP-caliber player, always putting the team ahead of him in terms of personal goals.

He’s coming off a breakout season and is expected to be a perennial All-Star, and he’s been one of the most entertaining guys to watch since he entered the league.

Edwards will spend all summer working out with the creme of the crop as he plays for Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, and the grind never stops for guys like him.

That’s a leader right there.
