The drama between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos continues to heat up as the start of the 2023 NFL season gets closer and closer, with Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett addressing the critical comments that were made by Sean Payton for the first time on Tuesday.
Superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has already addressed Payton’s comments on more than one occasion and was clearly upset about what was said about Hackett.
The former Broncos coach, however, hadn’t said a word about the very public comments made by Payton until he reached the podium today and didn’t seem all that bothered by the comments, but more or less issued a warning by basically saying not to throw stones in a glass house, as shared by Ari Meirov.
#Jets OC Nathaniel Hackett opened his presser today with a response to Sean Payton:
“As a coach, we live in a glass house. There’s a code and there’s a way things are done in that house.”
Hackett said he hasn’t heard from Payton.

The NFL must be drooling with all the drama building between these two potential AFC heavyweights ahead of the 2023 campaign, as it won’t take long for them to meet, with the Jets visiting the Broncos on October 8.
Although the Broncos are the home team and are always tough to beat in the Mile High City, the Jets could come in as the favorites if the first few weeks of the season go well for Rodgers and company.
There’s no doubt that the Jets offense won’t be holding anything back during this matchup, with Hackett looking to put his imprint on this game and Rodgers doing everything within his power to help him out.
This AFC showdown will undoubtedly be must-see TV for both fanbases as well as football fans in general.
