The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a forgettable 2022 NFL season in which the team failed to live up to expectations and seemed to fall apart during the second half of the season, leading to the team benching and eventually releasing star quarterback Derek Carr.

Over the course of the NFL offseason, the Raiders have made some drastic changes, with the quarterback position being arguably the most significant difference, as the team parted ways with Carr and brought in veteran Jimmy Garoppolo.

Although some believe this is a bit of a downgrade, especially considering Garoppolo’s injury issues over the years, the Raiders are confident he can help right the ship in Las Vegas in 2023.

With a new starting quarterback in place, there’s bound to be some chemistry issues and potentially some rough patches throughout training camp, which seem to already be underway, with star defensive end Maxx Crosby reportedly going at Garoppolo on Tuesday, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic.

Even though this may seem like a problem, Crosby recently praised Garoppolo for talking trash during practices, as they both seem to be passionate players that want to get the best out of one another.

This level of intensity can go either way, as sometimes it can cause a rift in the locker room, but it seems like this might be a good thing for the Raiders, who are desperately seeking to bounce back from last season.

Only time will tell if Crosby and Garoppolo elevate each other or end up hurting the team, but the coaches are likely loving seeing their players fired up.
